Chrysalis

Chrysalis is a three-day spiritual retreat much like the Walk to Emmaus but is designed especially for youth ages fifteen to eighteen.

The analogy of transition from caterpillar to butterfly is used to express the transformation and growth you will experience over the three days. Just as a caterpillar remains in the chrysalis (cocoon), you will be surrounded with God’s love and acceptance in an environment where you will study God’s word and learn how God loves each of us. You will experience God’s love through the actions of others who have a servant heart and a desire to help you show God’s love through your actions towards others. By the end of the weekend you will become transformed just as the caterpillar emerges from the chrysalis a butterfly.

Things to know…

• The three-day experience begins on Friday morning and ends on Sunday afternoon.
• Wear comfortable clothing…really!
• Food and snacks are available in abundance.
• Unplug from the world and leave your phone and watch at home.
